7th Annual S'more Fun Trail Run

  • Mirror Lake State Park (map)

We’re back for S’MORE FUN at Mirror Lake on Saturday October 1st, 2022 hosted by the fantastic Friends of Mirror Lake! This is the 7th Annual S’more Fun Trail Run. We hit the trails for this annual event to help support the Friends’ fundraising efforts to sustain and improve the beautiful Mirror Lake State Park.

Registration is open! Sign up using the following link!
https://runsignup.com/Race/WI/Baraboo/SmoreFunTrailRun
Registration closes September 11th.

Race Information:
All races except the Mini Marshmallow Mile and 5K Trail Walk are chip timed – thank you Tortoise & Hare Timing!
Race Maps can be found on the Facebook Page, the RunSignup Race Page, and the Friend’s Of Mirror Lake website under the events tab.

Routes are marked with colored flags to help guide you and reassure you have not taken a wrong turn. Intersections will be clearly marked with signs directing which way to go, and assistants will be at post throughout the race to help point you the right way. Each mile will have a marker as well so you know how far you have to go, and how far you’ve come!

Aid stations will be located along 10K and half marathon routes approximately every 3 miles. Stations are manned and will have water, Gatorade, GU Energy Gels (for half and 10K runners only), medical aid, and radio contact if needs arise. Waste bins will also be 50-100 feet beyond each station for wrappers, cups, bottles, etc. If you are a runner that needs more than what is provided, bring what you need and carry it with you.

Drop Bag Zone - new this year for Burnie Half Marathoners! Leave a small bag with things like dry shoes, dry socks, a coat, fuel, water, etc. You can also shed a layer or a bottle if you no longer need them and leave it at this point in your bag if you bring one. Drop bags will be collected right when you enter the park upon your arrival at the main entrance and transported for you to the supervised drop-bag zone before the race starts. Label your bag with your name and phone number so you can find it easily – or in case you forget it after the race, then we can find you! Duct tape and permanent marker works marvelously. You will pass this spot twice in the race. Use it when you need it or not at all! *Note, this is not intended for valuables (i.e. wallets, purses, phones, devices).

Pets - For safety reasons dogs will not be allowed at the event.
Strollers - For safety reasons will also not be permitted on the race trails.

Packet pick-up and same-day registration is on Run Day, October 1st from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the Beach Pavilion, Mirror Lake State Park.
