Mr. Blink is a 6-piece Big River Rhythm Rock band from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Their 4th Album “Shine” won the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Award for Album of the Year” in the “Blues, Country, and Folk” category.
A 35 year music staple in the Driftless area, their original music is about good times and real people. Danceable and relatable tunes create a happy time at Mr. Blink shows. Bluegrass fiddle with Cuban congas and honkey-tonk piano weave in and around a guitar, bass, and drum section. The Killa-What Horns are known to sit in.
The La Crosse rock band was first formed in 1989, a side project for members of three other local bands, Union Jack, Disorient Express and Buzz Butler. It was only intended as a summer project, but it has long outlived all of those bands to become one of the best known on the La Crosse music scene. With a repertoire of more than 50 original songs and dozens of covers in styles ranging from country to reggae to jazz to rock to blues, Mr. Blink gigs tend to change from night to night.
