Thirty-two years old and having lived my whole life in larger cities, moving to a small town has been quite a change. I’d say a change for the better. I really didn’t know how I would acclimate, but I seem to be doing just fine. Smaller cities have nicer people, less hustle and bustle going on, and a lot less to do.

I prefer this small town life, besides traveling to get anywhere. The Driftless area is so beautiful and calming to me. After surviving this past winter, I think I will be able to continue on. The spring, summer, and fall weather will definitely make up for the three months of being a homebody.

I hope to meet some more of our readers and explore more of the Driftless area. The opportunity to travel the Driftless will be an amazing experience.
