Len Harris checks in

Trout closed on the 15th of October and will reopen on the first Saturday of January. Many folks are saddened by this including me but it gives me time to try some other adventures. It also gives me time to heal from the long seasons toll on my body.

I try to please my wife mostly during this time because she loves to hike. It seems quite incongruent for me to be in the woods or near a body of water without a fishing rod in my hand.

There is a saying that I follow quite closely. I have been married since 1989 to my beautiful wife Barbara. The saying is "happy wife happy life."

We pointed the vehicle northward yesterday drove for five hours and visited a waterfall and a state park. Typically, we would stay in a hotel and check out a few more destinations but in the age of COVID-19 I prefer my own bed and so does my wife.

Chasing waterfalls and looking out into the unknown are right up there with trout fishing.
