With fall in full swing, the Baraboo Artisan Backyard Art Walk and Drive hosted by the Baraboo Artisans, was a welcome option this past Saturday for folks to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
Once hailed as the world’s largest ammunition plant, and having been turned back over to its rightful caretakers, the Hoocąk (Ho-Chunk), the Badger Ammunition plant recently played host to the revealing of a cultural mural.
Beginning in July, the Little Eagle Arts Foundation (LEAF), will coordinate the creation of a community-inspired clay tile mosaic mural that will be installed along the Great Sauk State Trail.
In its 34th year, Farm Aid 2019 rocked the farmland in South-central Wisconsin. Held at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin this past Saturday, this year’s concert opener, paid homage to the first people of the area, the Hocak (Ho-Chunk) Nation.
