All in Wisconsin Driftless Drink
Driftless Provisions, located inside the Food Enterprise Center of the Vernon Economic Development Association in Viroqua, Wisconsin, has brought the art of Charcuterie to the Driftless area.
“You want a story or two,” said Glen Spurgeon with a smile. He continued, “I was 17 years old, going to college in the fall. Read a book on commercial winemaking and decided this is what I want to do.”
Over the past couple of years in my travels through the Wisconsin Driftless, it has amazed me to see how some farms, houses, and businesses have survived over 100 years.
Lavender, ahh yes lavender. A well-known member of the herb family, every gardener having a kitchen garden is very familiar with lavender.
Coffee, yes coffee. That amazing beverage many love to start their day with. Its popularity has been on the uptick for the past decade or so.
Located on the Wisconsin River 10 miles or so South of Richland Center, Muscoda is a quaint village of about 1300 people with a nostalgic feel to it.
